The company’s first patent was issued by the US Patent and Trademark Office on May 19th, 2015 as US Patent Number 9,035,091. The title is “Ozonolysis Operations for Generation of Reduced and/or Oxidized Product Streams”. The inventors are Patrick Foley, P2’s Chief Science Officer and Yonghua Yang, Research Scientist. This is the first patent to be granted out of a current pipeline of 9 patents which cover process technology, novel compositions of matter and novel applications. The company’s core technology is safe, scalable, cost-effective ozonolysis and the key markets include Flavors & Fragrance Ingredients, Cosmetics Ingredients, Lubricant Additive Intermediates and Polymer Intermediates.

P2 was originally co-founded at Yale University by Professor Paul Anastas and Dr. Patrick Foley. The company has recently made news with its partnerships with Symrise AG of Germany and with Bedoukian Research, Inc. of Danbury, CT. The company also recently added Kevin Gallagher, president of Croda’s personal care business, to its board of directors.
