Croda’s Gallagher joins P2 Board as Independent Director

Kevin Gallagher, President, Personal Care at Croda International PLC, has joined the Board of Directors of P2 Science, Inc. as an independent director.

Kevin Gallagher’s career has spanned almost 40 years and the major portion of that with Croda. Kevin’s current role at Croda encompasses global responsibility for the company’s business in personal care. Prior to this, Kevin was president of Croda Inc., the US subsidiary of Croda International Plc. His early career included management roles in R&D, Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing.  In addition to his role at Croda, Kevin is on the ACI (American Cleaning Institute) board of directors, the PCPC (Personal Care Products Council) board of directors, NJIT Advisory Board, the advisory board for FIT (the Fashion Institute of Technology) and the Rutgers Chemistry and Chemical Biology Advisory Board.

P2 Science is a venture backed company, using patent pending chemical technology to convert biomass into specialty chemicals. Initial target markets include Flavors & Fragrances, Cosmetics, Surfactants and Polymers. The scientific co-founders of the company, Professor Paul Anastas, formerly of the US EPA and Dr. Patrick Foley, worked together at the Yale Center for Green Chemistry and Green Engineering. The company has recently announced customer partnerships with Symrise AG of Germany and Bedoukian Research, Inc. of the US. P2 has also had a long term engineering partnership with Desmet Ballesta sPa of Italy.
