P2 Science Hires Commercial Manager

Ryan Cheng joins P2 to manage sales, marketing and business development in advance of Q4 plant start-up.

Woodbridge, Conn. – April 30, 2018– P2 Science Inc., a venture-backed, biorenewable chemistry company, today announced that Ryan Cheng has joined the management team of the company with responsibility for revenue generation.

The company is currently building its first manufacturing plant in Naugatuck, CT. The plant will be in commercial production in Q4 of 2018 with initial sales targeted at the flavor & fragrance and cosmetics industries.

Ryan started his career in the marketing & sales team at Nisso America Inc. where he grew its flagship excipient polymers business in North & South America, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food, cosmetics, personal care, and industrial markets.  He later joined the BASF Corporation Pharma Solutions group to lead sales, business development and account management activities at key customers in the US market.

Ryan holds an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and earned dual B.A./M.A. degrees with high honors from Brandeis University, where he was also a member of the NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field teams.  He currently resides in New York, NY.
